The Legal Service Executive was established in 2018 under the Office of the President and is responsible for handling all legal matters within the university. The executive has the following main responsibilities:
- Providing oral and written legal advice to the President and the management regarding legal issues that impact the university.
- Representing the university in legal proceedings before courts and tribunals, including administrative and regulatory hearings.
- Ensuring the university’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
- Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing legal documents to safeguard and promote the university’s interests.
- Utilizing alternative dispute resolution methods to address or facilitate the resolution of conflicts or potential disputes between the university and external parties.
- Conducting training sessions on pertinent legal issues affecting the university.
