The Education Quality Enhancement Directorate aims to enhance the quality of education by ensuring quality standards, improving input qualities like staff-student ratio and curriculum, enhancing process qualities, conducting organizational quality evaluation and analyzing the interaction of input variables. The directorate has the following main responsibilities:
- Identifying and organizing training interventions to meet quality standards for the academic staff.
- Assisting academic units in implementing effective teaching, learning, and assessment methods.
- Ensuring course guidebooks and outlines meet the given standards.
- Supporting documentation of student progress, and retention and achievement.
- Collecting and analyzing data for continuous improvement in educational quality.
- Disseminating new practices, conducting audits, evaluating academic units, standardizing the curriculum, and issuing policies for quality teaching and assessment.
- Evaluating the institution annually for compliance, communicating the findings, preparing self-assessment documents every five years, following up on external recommendations, designing curriculum evaluation strategies, and conducting regular course audits.
