The Department of Early Childhood Care and Education Study was recently established in 2021 as part of a strategic effort to meet the growing demand for greatly qualified early childhood care and education professionals who can integrate theoretical knowledge into practical care and education skills in the actual workplace..

Produce capable, responsible, committed, competent and skillful professionals in the area of early childhood care and education in Ethiopia.

Ensure quality services of education with love and encouragement to realize the fullest potential of young children in Ethiopia.
Academic Programs
The program is to produce graduates in Early Childhood Care and Education who can facilitate child‘s development to the fullest of their potential and lay the foundation for all round development and lifelong learning.
Undergraduate Program: Bachelor of Art in Early Childhood Care and Education (BA.): This program provides students with a concrete foundation in Early Childhood Care and Education practice. The core competences course includes child development and learning, curriculum development and implementation, family and community partnerships, assessment of children, and behavioral management.
Research and Development: The department places a strong emphasis on research and development, encouraging both teachers and students to engage in research projects that address current challenges and innovations in Early Childhood Care and Education.
Community Engagement and Partnerships: The Department of Early Childhood Care and Education: providing capacity building training for governmental and nongovernmental on child related issues, providing quality early childhood care and education service to the community through establishing model early childhood care and education center that can also serve as a learning laboratory.
Facilities and Resources: The department is led by a qualified academic staff member within four (4) Lecturers, who provide hearty support for the scholarly and research pursuits of both colleges and students.
