Injibara University’s Senate recently held its annual meeting to review institutional performance and strategic planning. The session resulted in the approval of the 2018 budget year plan and new postgraduate programs, following a detailed assessment of the 2017 budget performance report.
Mr. Lingerew Atinkut, Executive of Strategic Affairs, presented a report highlighting the university’s achievements. The Senate focused on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and adherence to the institutional plan, discussing core areas such as education, research, community service, agriculture, health, tourism, entrepreneurship, and Agaw culture.
The Senate approved the performance report, noting an impressive 82.39% achievement against KPIs and an overall performance level of 86.57%, classifying the university as high-performing. This reflects Injibara University’s commitment to excellence and alignment with national development priorities.
Additionally, the Senate approved three new postgraduate programs for the 2018 academic year: a PhD in Accounting and Finance, an M.Sc. in Developmental Economics, and an M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics. These additions aim to enhance the university’s academic offerings and provide advanced opportunities for students.
