The Senate of Injibara University held its regular meeting, during which various agendas were deliberated and approved.
During the session, a signing ceremony was conducted for the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) contract between the President and Vice Presidents.
Dr. Gardachew Worku, President of Injibara University, elaborated that the primary objective of the performance agreement is to enhance the institution’s effectiveness in fulfilling its mandated missions. This includes ensuring quality in teaching and learning, research, and community service activities, thereby elevating the university’s national and international competitiveness, and further advancing it toward excellence. Dr. Gardachew further noted that the university had demonstrated improved performance in the previous budget year. He emphasized the need to continue elevating performance standards to maintain its status as a preferred institution. To achieve this, consultations will be held with faculty members, administrative staff, and outsourced employees. Based on prior discussions with the Ministry of Education, the core elements of the KPIs—encompassing strategic priorities—were presented and explained by the relevant executive officers, followed by thorough deliberation by the Senate.
Additionally, agendas presented to the Senate included the approval of results for postgraduate graduating students and those in the Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching (PGDT) program. Mr. Yimer Chekol, Director of the University Registrar, presented the students’ results to the Senate. Following detailed discussions on the submitted results, the Senate unanimously approved the graduation of the students.
