The Senate of Injibara University convened its regular meeting today, during which various agendas were reviewed and approved.
Approved Agendas:
1. Revised Senate Legislation:
The University Senate engaged in an extensive discussion regarding the amendments to the Senate Legislation. The existing Senate legislation needed revision to address issues related to the University’s new structure as a comprehensive university, incorporating updates based on the experiences of other universities. After thorough deliberation and the inclusion of additional resources, the revised Senate Legislation was approved.
2. PhD in Applied Linguistics Curriculum:
The second major agenda item involved the approval of the PhD in Applied Linguistics curriculum, augmenting the university’s existing graduate programs (PhD in Developmental Psychology and PhD in Teaching English as a Foreign Language). The development process for the new program included a comprehensive needs assessment, as well as internal and external reviews. Following a detailed review of the proposed curriculum, the Senate approved the launch of the PhD program in Applied Linguistics.
The decisions indicate Injibara University’s commitment to continual improvement and adaptation to meet the evolving educational landscape.
