The department of Software Engineering was launched in 2021 under the college of Natural and Computational Sciences. Currently, the department is founded under the College of engineering and technology established in 2022. The department started its works with 4 academic staffs by having 35 regular students. Recently, the department is carrying out its activities with a total of 4 academic staff. Out of the academic staff members, 4 of them are MSc degree holders. The department has total of 92 regular students.
The aim of Software Engineering is to embraces all technical skills engineers need to acquire in developing high-quality, efficient, usable, accessible, maintainable, secure professional software improving existing software. These skills include concepts, models, theories, practices, techniques and tools.
