The Department of Special Needs and Inclusive Education was established in 2021 as part of a strategic initiative to address the growing need for skilled professionals in the field of special needs and inclusive education.

Undergraduate Program: Bachelor of Art special needs and inclusive education (BA.): This program provides students with a solid foundation in inclusive education. The curriculum includes courses on introduction to special needs and inclusive education, education of person with visual impairment, gifted and talented, braille reading and writing skill and sign language.
Postgraduate Program: Master of Art in special needs and inclusive education (MA): This advanced program is designed for educators and professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of special needs and inclusive education. The curriculum covers advanced topics such as research methods in special needs and inclusive education, community based rehabilitation, current trends in special needs and inclusive education, rehabilitation counseling and foundation of special needs education. The program emphasizes practical attachment and fieldwork.
Research and Development: The department places a strong emphasis on research and development, encouraging both faculty and students to engage in research projects that address current challenges and innovations in inclusive education. Research areas include inclusion and diversity, practice of inclusion and the impact of assistive device on student with disability Community Engagement and Partnerships: The Department of special needs and inclusive education actively collaborate with different institutions, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and international bodies to enhance and promote inclusion and quality education and promote best practices in inclusion.
Facilities and Resources: The department is equipped with necessary facilities and resources, including qualified human resources, modern classrooms, and a comprehensive university level library with computer lab. These resources support the academic and research activities of students and faculty, fostering an environment conducive to learning and innovation
