The Senate of Injibara University held its regular meeting and approves various decisions.

The following agendas were presented at the Senate discussion:

1. Approving the results of students in the Continuing Education Program

2. Approving the Medical School

3. Various decisions were made on the agendas of contributing to the Awi Development Association.

Accordingly, the results of the graduating students who were trained in the continuous education program at Injibara University, namely in the summer, weekend and PGDT first and second degree programs and who passed the exit exam, have been presented by the chief registrar of the university, Yimer Chekol. The Senate, after reviewing the results of the students, unanimously approved the graduation of a total of 947 students.

Further, the senate has passed a decision on the proposal to upgrade the Department of Medicine under the College of Medicine and Health Sciences to a School of Medicine. The proposal for the establishment of the Department of Medicine as an independent school under the college was presented by the Dean of the college, Daniel Adane (Assistant Professor), and after deep discussion, the senate unanimously approved the establishment of the School of Medicine from today. Following this decision, the university increased the number of schools to two, including the school of law.

Finally, the members of the management of Injibara University have pledged to donate their entire monthly salary and the members of the university senate 50% or more of their monthly salary for the construction of an income-generating building of Awi Development Association to be built in Addis Ababa.
