Background of Management Department
The Department of Management is one of the five departments established under the College of Business and Economics in 2017 and started its work with 4 Academic staffs by having 135 regular students. Until 2021, the department graduated the regular students in two rounds. In addition to the regular program, the department began its teaching on continuing (Weekend) program in 2018. Currently the department is carrying out its activities with a total of 12 academic staff. Out of the staff members, 8 MA degree holders, 3 BA degree holders and 1 PhD are active staffs. The rest 1 staff member is on study leave doing his PhD degree .
The department producing a number of Management professionals in first degree since its opening in regular and continuing (weekend) programs. Currently, the department has enrolled 1148 under graduate students. Among those 40 are Regular and 1108 are Continuing (Weekend) modality. Besides, the department has been going to teach 75 post graduate students in continuing (weekend) program since December 2021.
It is also implementing research and community service activities after a year of its implementation of teaching and learning practices. Currently the department implements teaching and learning process, research and community service & engagement activities as per its yearly plan. Also it has stretched all possible ways to exploit maximum effort of the staff to use their knowledge and skills for the sake of upgrading the performance of students as well as the well-being of the community.
