The Department of Nursing was founded in 2021/2014 E.C.in Injibara University, college of medicine and health science to provide the community at large with learning opportunities. Three programs are offered by the department: two undergraduate regular and private regular degree programs opened in 2021/2014 E.C. and one postgraduate program called “MSc in Adult Health Nursing,” which opened in 2022/2014 E.C. The Department of Nursing has 15 academic staff members, including 4 assistant professors, 7 lecturers, 2 assistant lecturers (one on study leave), and 2 technical staff members. There are five batches in the nursing degree program with the total of 171 enrolled students: three regular batches with 50 students enrolled in the first year, 28 students in the second year, and 35 students in the third-year, and two private degree batches with first-year 30 students and second-year 28 students. Five students are enrolled in the postgraduate program.
